hi i started a thread a couple of weeks ago about how bad my fuel consumption is but now ive just gone to put the cossie in the garage and the orange light on the centre of the dashboard came on and then the car just cut out then struggled to start then eventually got it into the garage i let it tickover and it ticked over but can hear a slight backfire and when revving.i think im gonna take the spark plugs out tomorrow and see if i can see diagnose anything by looking at them i think i could do with a new coil pack and HT leads ive just put new battery on so thats not the problem.

could be distributer phase sensor, before you buy any parts extract the code as if warning light on it will point you in the right direction for fault finding, theres a section on it in the manual
