Default tachometer problem.

Hello all,i have fit one 60mm VDO tachometer to my cossie,but after 3000 revs the meter going and playing like a crazy to the end,so what need to check? maybe new resistance?

They are scaled, so it's probably not right for the current setup, i.e. a Cosworth tacho is different from a lesser model.

Most aftermarket normally have settings you can adjust to suit the application?
