Default saff cossie 4x4 shockers

Are saff cossie front and rear shockers the same as any other ford sierra like the xr4x4s.I just dont wanna be stung with cossie tax thats all.

I take it saff cossie 4x4 shockers are the same as escort cossie ones.

Escos and 4x4 are exactly the same I think, certainly fitment wise as it's the same running gear!

2WD models won't fit, at least the fronts won't as the struts are thicker! XR4x4 would be the same fitment but the damping rates etc are going to be different most likely.

Standard shocks are very cheap anyway and are quite hard to come by, I had to get a second hand pair as they are NLA!

I thought the escort cossie ones were the same. I will have to see if i can get standard ones.

There was a full set of koni,s on ebay which were second hand.I wasnt really keen on putting second hand bits on.

why glenn as long as there in good condition and have no leaks and not bent they will be fine, surely it's better to uprate to koni's whilst your changing them!
I built my race car on carfully chosen second hand parts!

i think you will find that the movement you are describing is the bushes in the top of the body that could be worn but remember that there is a fair bit of movement in them anyway. you need to check your dampers for leaks and try a quick bounce test.
