Overfueling Saph Cos???
hi all,ive had my saph cos for about 3 weeks now and love it but the fuel is a major concern for me now i know i didnt expect it to be great on fuel but i didnt expect it to be this bad lol anyways i did a test on various fuels put £20 each time so tried
Tesco 99 - got 45miles
BP Ultimate - got 50miles one time and 40miles the other time
95 sainsburys - not finish the £20 yet but looks like it will reach 50miles plus
anyways im just wondering if thats good milage or not im not booting it everywhere either i drive sensibly in it also revs quite high on idle 1k rpm and also slight smell of petrol in engine bay so just need some feedback
The car is just a standard stage 1 engine so nothing stupid think its 280bhp.

Best bet would be a setup, not only will it give you piece of mind, but it will identify any issues such as if it's overfuelling. Yes stage 1 is circa 280HP.
If 2WD check the hose between the regulator and the fuel rail, these perish and are a major safety concern, 4x4 don't have this issue as the reg is screwed to the rail (Just one of the many revisions made) as obviously squirt fuel squirts around the place, this has set people cars ablaze before, also whilst on the subject not to put fear into you but a fire extinguisher with these is essential!
Being stage 1 means standard injectors (Yellow if 2WD, blue if 4x4), which are now old, so it could also be an o-ring that has gone.
Also on another sunject have you checked the fuel pump and fan looms?
