Default broke my diff!!!

i broke my diff in my 3dr earlier today and have a spare one was just wondering how much oil do i need for the diff? i want to completely drain the old oil out!

how long on average would it take to change with a jack and axle stands??

Well it took me about 1hr 20 minutes to take mine out on my own on axle stands.

Be careful undoing the torx bolts on the driveshafts, clean all the crap out of the heads before you try and undo them.

Think I found the capacity figure on here pal, I took the front cover off, because I wanted all the old stuff out!

that whats worrying me the torq bolts, so all in all it should take me about 3-4 hours in and out and topped with oil fingers crossed, might be better to just borrow a ramp.

did yours take exactly 1litre cause i done a search on here and 1 bloke said it takes 1.4litres with it all drained out but every1 else are saying 1litre so not sure if i should buy 1 or 2 litres.

according to the ford manual it takes 1ltr SAE 90

As above

Took me a good hour to swap it over, but as said make sure you clean out the torque heads on the shaft bolts as it will give you a real headache if you strip them. Which is very easy to do!

If you have never done a diff before around an hour for fitting.

When you start doing them regularly around 40 minutes I found

Just put 1.4L in mine, that was to the top of the drain plug.
