Default billit fuel rails leaking (attention of the billit people)

guy's i was just organised to buy myself a billet fuel rail so i can run aeroquip fittings etc but then i got told by a few cosworth lads to stick to the genuine rail as they have securing clips on the injector's to secure properly so my question is with a few billit geniuses on here why do they not keep the clips

your thoughts

my injectors are a nice tight fit on my billet rail, i think some of the early/cheap versions had a couple of problems, get a good one from Reyland and I'm sure it will be spot on.

There has been a few instances of the mounting brackets snapping. I will only use a standard rail now after my own snapped and I luckily got away without the car catching fire.

on my billet rails we had some stainless mounting brackets made so theres not chance of breaking and also redrilled and tapped rail so they fit down on tighter so the injectors cant come out

Just to add i have had a AN-6 weld on fitting silver soldered on to my OE 4x4 rail and the regulator has a fitting in too, then zinc coated - cheap option that works

Would be interested............

I bought some Siemens 55lb Injectors from MSD - them found out they are slightly shorter in design than Bosch (Green/Grey) Injectors.

So, I now have a Billet Rail and loose Injectors

Martin, I must hold my hand up - I think you sent me some a good while ago. Maybe a year or so...........totally forgot

I've found them after ripping my garage apart trying to hunt them down. I'll give them a go.

the problem was not the injector coming out the rail but the rail mounting bracket snapping & the rail coming away from the manifold ,he was very lucky i noticed it ..

i run a billet fuel rail & im running 85lb siemens & my injectors have no play what so ever ,but i did make my own plenum with the correct length lugs to mount it to .

if your good at fabricating & you know a good machinist then this fuel rail is a very good option .
