Where to get relay?
Hi people,
My heated front screen stopped working today so I started to diagnose the problem.
Turns out it was the fusible link off the battery.
But while I was checking the relays I removed the grey timer relay and it broke the circuit board inside!!!!!
Now where do I get a replacement from?
Im in Australia too, so I cant just swing past a wrecker. Any of the traders post stuff like that to Australia?
Part numbers are.
77180
87BG14512-AA
5WK1734
Please help!
Brett

Do you have scrap yards over there or do the cars just never rust haha? If you can find another model i.e. Ghia you can get one from this. Otherwise if you got really stuck I can't think of a reason why you can't use another relay that is rated the same as the grey one but obviously the screen will not switch off by itself.
Or is there no way you can order from Ford?

Can you still get them from ford?
If I used a normal relay I would need to change the switch too. I belive the normal switch only sends an intermitant signal to the timing relay.
I might enquire with some wreckers.
Cheers
