Default 3dr rev counter problem

Hi folks

got a problem with the 3dr rev counter ...it has started to jump up and down , it will settle for a while then start jumping again


now i have changed the grp a coil.....and tyred another new one yesterday and still the same

has anyone got any ideas what it could be ?? thanks and ill have a loook tomorrow night after work

Marco, mines done that for about 2yrs mate it stops when you boot it, just on normal driving

not sure if it will be the same as what i had on my old sapphire, rev counter was all over and sometimes didnt work, so i took it apart and there was a dodgy solder joint on the back... resoldered it and was perfect....

My escos had the same fault and the problem was the nut holding it into the speedo drive had come loose. Once tightened up it was fine and never jumped up and down again.

ill defo check that the saff shouldn't be far off ive got another dash anyway i thought it might have been the new grpa coils
