Default 2wd head

I was stripping my 2wd cosworth head this day and when i ended i found 2 of 6mm round balls on my workbench the head was realy bad covered in oil and dirty but the 6mm balls where clean but pitted

I know that there is a little steel ball in de oil line to the camshaft bearings to stop that oil returns into the block and stays in the head but that was in place

Does somebody know where they came from and had this before i looked everywhere but don't find a place where the could be sitting in maybe they came from something else and not from the head

The only other bearings are in the cam bearings, so check one hasn't disintergrated but this is almost impossible to happen without dire issues because of it, I think it's hugely more likely to be from something other than the head.

Do check the cam bearings... but a lazy fixer may not have checked when replaced a duff one in the past I guess?
