Default my rear strut brace

well here is my attempt at making a rear strut brace as i found the arderline one very small and light i know there is not all the need for this strength of one put the stronger the better

and this 8mm steel plate will be seam welded through to the box panel the one holding the rear diff on and then my brace will bolt through it

I don't think it'll be strong enough Damo, should have used bigger & thicker box section

The triangulation points should have been as close to the ends as you could for best effect, but good on you saves a lot of money, it could have been made a lot less substantial as it only compressive forces it will see.

this is to give you a idea of it fitted

the fire extingusher will be fitted there when it's finished as cossie's seem to have a habit

and it bolted through the 8mm steel plate seam welded to the box panel that hold's the diff

awaiting the painter to come and repaint the boot for me

and to let you see up close
