A cossie rack is no different seal wise to any other sierra power rack.
Done a xr4x4 one years back, no special tools needed, but a word of warning, take notes and use a digi camera to piccie as you go.

I'm doing a 4wd cossie rack and a 2wd cossie rack(mine) in the next few weeks, so will photo it all with any differences noted.

Can do, I've asked a mate if we can do them at his pad, as he used to work for a place "oop north" doing rack daily, he's got more space than I have, and a parts washer that isn't jammed up!!

Pretty straight forward job if your mechanically minded, the hardest part is getting the wire retaining clip off both ends so that you can strip the rack. The is a little hole where the wire is fed into the body of the rack and this goes into a groove on the shaft.

You need to clean off the dab of mastic thats over the hole, find the end of the wire by pushing it along then hook out one end and slowly withdraw the wire, once its out the rack strips easily enough.

Will make sense when you give it a go

I rebuilt my 4x4 rack last mouth. There easy to do. If anyone gets stuck give me a shout. I put new.seals in mine cause the rack was leaking fluid and was filling the gaiters up.I stripped my rack in my back garden.

Tabetha can't post here as he got banned. Around the time of this thread I believe. Shame as his knowledge of parts was vast and normally spot on.
