rob it will have play side to side as the shaft runs on oil between it and the bearing, so need oil pressure to fill the gap
did they guys say why they wouldn't fit it at croft?
I see no reason other then the repair to the wastegate arm..
if you do want to get it checked mine was done at turboactive at wynyard and is fine pm me if you go there

Heard some bad rep about CR Turbo's, not used them myself so can't comment but did come from a very respected person.
I use as I always have the turbocentre in leeds, not the cheapest around maybe but not had any issues from them, 01924 404112.

What you have put is the crock of shite as you call it, every one including vince makes mistakes, and will continue to do so, what marks people out is what they do about those mistakes, read some recent threads.

I'll third that
Tabetha, you class yourself as a self proclaimed guru who utters complete and utter drivel. Around 40% of info you preach is roughly on edge of what everyone would consider as coherent, but the rest is complete horse shit! Everyone here's trying to help each other out, but you give really misguided advice that some could take too literally and end up blowing their cars up.
Vince had been nothing but helpful over the years to me and countless others, as well as those in the know. Its true that many make mistakes, no one is perfect! But 100% of the occasions I've dealt with him (like others as mentioned) have had perfect results.
I pitty those who take your gospal for granted!

Youth Steve they would'nt fit it as it has scoring mark where the turbo blades have cut into the inlet housing due to excessive play on the shaft etc.. someone else looked at it too and said the same, im pretty annoyed about it like as i didnt really look at it to much as just took it for granted it was a good unit and with you lads being local and in the same club etc...

CR Turbo's get my vote. They're very local to me (around 10 mins) and as such I have been in to ask questions/advice many times. Everytime they've given me the time to explain and answer my queries.
Also used them to have my turbo rebuilt/upgraded and have to say I'm pleased with the results.
Just my 2p worth, but that's what the forums are for - to gain opinions from many people. You yourself must judge what to believe and rely on.
