Default Sill trims and whats this? More about ECU now...

So i have been putting my carpet back in but the sill trims dont look right to me

I thought they go under the rubber seal but when on top they look odd... What way do theses go?

What are these for under the passengers side dash

Also these wires just hang around, do they go to anything???

Plus where do i buy the gasket for this?

One more thing, how do i know what chip i have? Where do i find the chip and will there be like a logo on it? I hear i might have the bayjoo one from burton but not sure

Many Thanks Eigdoog.

sills are right, plugs hanging by ecu are right and nearly all good rs tuners / parts suppliers will sort you an inlet manifold gasket

The hanging plugs should be there leave them tucked away

Take your ecu out, on the front of the ecu there is a 'w' In the front, turn the ecunso this w is upside down then take the top lid off, take a pic of the ecu and post it up

Matt Lewis or graham go ode will have the gaskets in stock

Use a COMETIC inlet/plenum cover gasket, as these seal ace and are re-useable so cheaper in the long run.
The first item is a tracker unit.

2nd pic is an old school alarm unit, it doesnt appear to be a tracker unit as it has no gsm or gps aerial input but does have unltrasonic, led, and touchpad inputs.
the alarm by its appearance isnt insurance rated as its loom is coloured and if you removed it so easily then the fitter should be shot.

I think he's right re the alarm thingy, I looked quickly and thought it was the round transponder antenna, this is normally stuck onto the underside of the dash or similar, but it does look more like a siren type thing.

Well i was putting everything back tonight and followed some wires of what i could and found them to go to the interior scan things so yeah thats a bad set up... There is a little aerial that sits in the dash, also one in the back pillar. Nothing is hid up well in this I just stuffed all that shit back in and ill forget about it

As for chips! I didn't have a clue what i was looking for but took pictures of these. Think its the first picture as it looks removable and the void sticker were broken. its not under warranty now if i take it to ford

I though the ecu was right behind the dash at the top but this is there and its got not alot to look at inside lol

So didnt know what i was taking photos of

I might still be wrong here!

Also have to share this!!

What a piss off!!!!!!! This is what a quarter of a turn can do

Yeah its a 4x4, if its a standard chip will it still run ok with the dark greens and 3 bar senor? I would of thought so, wonder why any one got the chip removed?

I'd say you've a standard chip because thats not an L8 ECU - by the looks of it you are missing the baby board, so its likely someones chucked an l6 or l1 in to get it going.

You'd want to sort that out before the car goes anywhere. At least confirm what the ecu is and get the correct chip for it.

thats defo not an l8 ecu and your car should have one you see the 4 screwholes in the top left of the pic, an l8 has an extra circuit board screwed there which houses the chip that on yours is below
i suggest you get an l8 ecu and a stage 3 chip as you shouldnt be using greens and a 3 bar map sensor on a standard chip nor should you be running more than about 9 psi of boost

I think that ECU is an L6 going by the clamps on the right hand side of the photo - i *think* L1s have screws there instead?

L8s go from Ł200-Ł250, you may find one with a stage 3 chip, you may not - pot luck lol. The likes of a simple stage 3 MSD chip is only Ł100ish anyway, for piece of mind i'd order one of those up!
