Its only £20 for a new phase sensor to the door from matt lewis, but someone has still decided it will be a good idea to bodge it!... What a joke ayy!

Looks bad, with "care" like that think I'd be tempted to go through the whole car now just in case, brake pads held in with cable ties ? etc!!

christ i thought mine was bad when i first got it with bare rusty wires and even then it still worked.. that is the work of an animal.. surely if your going to bodge it they could have just taped it up..

Check the engine wiring loom too mate, If its melted the wires in there it may have gone back thru the loom too?

As said... only just bought it so dont know whos done what, but does make me suspisious of the rest of the car
Not mentioning any names but its just been for a set-up... surely wouldn't something like this get noticed when setting/ tuning a car ??

Unless there were running issues the dizzy cap wouldn't need removing, so no it wouldn't have been spotted, not something normally that would need checking.

You cannot "setup" a YB without checking the phase alignment. Nor the sensor gap.
