christ i thought mine was bad when i first got it with bare rusty wires and even then it still worked.. that is the work of an animal.. surely if your going to bodge it they could have just taped it up..
As said... only just bought it so dont know whos done what, but does make me suspisious of the rest of the car

Unless there were running issues the dizzy cap wouldn't need removing, so no it wouldn't have been spotted, not something normally that would need checking.

You cannot "setup" a YB without checking the phase alignment. Nor the sensor gap.
Dont worry about Tabs, he always gets abusive when he is wrong, its a shame but some people are like that and all the regulars on here are used to him now so we just put up with him really.
