Default saph steering rack

hi all. my power steering rack on my 4x4 saph is shagged. any idea how much a new one is and where to get it from? also was thinking of converting over to a manual rack if there cheaper? thanks, gary.

Power racks can be had for around £120 or so, though it varies widely.
Manual should be cheaper, why not recon your own, the leaks are usually from the tower, and then mostly the tops seal/s, they're not hard to do.
If you did go manual rack there used to be a 2.2 turns lock to lock kit you could get, as i built one for roosie last year for his 3 door.

cheers mate. its not leaking the rack has loadsa play in it so need a new one unfortunately. wheres the best place to get one? cheers, gary.

Where precisely is the play ?, often it is just the drumsticks that wear causing play, these are a doddle to replace, and take about 1 1/2 hours total, cost around £9 each best price having just checked on ebay, very easy to do and saves loads of money!!
