Default Knock sensor

I am assuming the knock sensor is below the turbo and down by the oil pan. Does it go into an oil gallery as I seem to have oil leaking from it. If so is it a gasket or O ring.

As said no oil connection at all, it is bolted securely to the block to listen only.

OK then the next thought is where the front axle goes into the sump, is there a seal there or what?

Yeah there is a seal each end I would of thought mate. Best thing to do with an oil leak is thoroughly clean the whole area and run it up for a short time to determine where the leak is coming from. Most likely candidates are rocker covers, cam seals and front and rear main seals. But being a Cosworth it could be coming from anywhere.... Lol

I have eliminated the top of the engine and washed off around knock sensor and now assume that the axle is throwing oil around. It must be tough to do axle seals
