Ive been looking for some wheels for my saff for a while now and found a set that I like. They are a 7x17 with an ET38 offset but have 215/40/17 tyres instead of 205/40/17's. Will they fit ok on 2wd saff without rubbing?? Im running konis with slightly lowered springs. Think they are only 20mm drop.
They will go on the rear no problem at all, but I'd question whether they would go on the front ?, I know my ET38 7x17 with 225/45x17 won't go on the front, as yours are 40's you stand more chance of them fitting, as the 45's are about 1 1/4" taller, having to raise the front of me sapphy to get mine to fit!!
tabetha
Just bought some 17" OZ Super T's. Apprently done 300 miles from new with new Eagle F1 Tyres..... £350. Thought that was cheap, as long as there not square when I get them
mmmm im excited now. Was taking to Gordon Scott the other day. He said they were a nightmare to clean. Thinking about it, its pretty obvious they would be . Will have to get some layers of wax on them before fitting.
Aye thats why we were on about them, lol. Its on 215/40 17's at the mo but not on the Super T's. The Super T's had 205/40 on iirc. Ideally I want 225 or 235 on the rear of mine in the future.

Yeh, these have 205/40's but the eagle F1s are pretty grippy. Cant be any worse than the ditch finders I have on my buckled standard lattice wheels.
My saff was originally Gordons. Its been standing for a few years since. Gradually getting it back to a reasonable state.
looks great mate itll be a belter when you get the door ect done you must of spent a few quid on this now!
Aye. Think I could still get back what I have spent building it if i decided to sell it. It was never about that making money on the car. I just didnt want to spend £5-6k on a Saff and end up spending another £2k + or worse sorting rot and other stuff.
Needs a new dashboard next, but that will be on the winter jobs list for next year.

Thanks the problem, its like that dudes technicolour wastecoat.
Top is like a bluey colour and the bottom is black. Need a 4x4 upper and lower dash in black as mine has had the adjustable steering column put in at some point.
I love the look of your saff with the ambers/standard lights. It will look mint when you getthe bits of body work done.
Cheers It came with the dark rears and the numberplate surround and clear fronts and sides. All my mates said to leave them on, but before I even bought the car, It clear in my mind I wanted a Moonstone with orange lights.
