Default Crank sensor bracket

Hi all,

Just getting my engine ready to finally go back in my saph but I've come across a little hurdle with it!

Basically when I go to fit the crank pulley, it hits the crank sensor!

The car is a 4x4 saph converted to 2wd so I'm using a 2wd sump but I still have the 4x4 crank sensor bracket which I'm certain must be wrong.

Does anyone know for sure if the 2wd bracket is different to the 4x4 one?!

Cheers in advance!

Never seen that before. I would try the other pulley.

Pretty sure the pulley is the same for 2wd and 4x4, I think that sensor bracket looks different to my 2wd one though.

However its been a while since I have seen/took notice of one so I could be wrong. All in all a pretty useless reply

Obviously there is a difference, I am 99% sure the bracket is mounted further away on the 4wd, I will have a look at mine today to see if the bracket is the same, as can't remember!!

Was that just after a resto ?
Nice to see what mine should look like, but think I do too many miles to keep clean, around 100 a day at the moment!!

Hi,
On Microcat, it exist 2 references of bracket :
-0994 finis 16 39 274 ref : V86HF 9E719 AA
0994- finis 74 05 453 ref : V93HF 9E719 AA

Second bracket is may be for Escort Cosworth T25. (with different crank pulley)

Regards.

Just put some washers under the sensor to space it back from the bracket.
Having taken mine off today, my one looks exactly the same.
