Removing fuel tank

Removing fuel tank
I have a 2.0 DOHC Sierra with a leaky fuel tank.
I've dropped the tank down and located the leak along a seam and I have a replacement tank waiting to go on.
I'm struggling to undo a connector coming out of the fuel pump/sender unit.
I can't see a way to undo it. There is a bit at the front with two holes in it that rotates independently of the rest of the connector. Do I need to push something in these holes to release the connector? I don't want to just go jamming something in there incase I'm wrong and I damage it.
Also, is it critical to use a new seal around the sender unit? I can't find anywhere that sells them and my local Ford dealer tells me they have been discontinued.

Yeah if you gently push the 2 bits of plastic you can see in the holes towards the centre. It pushes a locking piece out of the plug it's sort of horse shoe shaped. Very similar to fuel filter connections on more modern cars

Thanks for that, I'll whip it off now.
I looked on eBay for the seals but couldn't find any. A search for "Fuel sender seals" returns 8 results and none of them are for a Ford Sierra. I'll keep looking.
Edit, found some for a Ford Escort Cosworth. Likely to be the same?

If you found your tank strap had rusted through and don't fancy paying Ford for a new one (they quoted me Ł70-odd plus VAT!) B&Q sell 1m strips of steel that are perfect for the job.
I got one of those and bent it in a vice to suit using the old one as a guide, cut the excess off then bolted the ends of the original to that. Fit perfectly and only cost me a tenner!
I still haven't managed to find new seals though.

I'm beginning to feel a little bit silly now, I'm still unable to get that connector off
I tried pushing two very small screwdrivers into the two small holes at the front of the connector. Nothing happened and I could see inside that the plastic was beginning to cut/deform where I was pressing it.
I found two videos on Youtube about quick connect fuel lines connectors:

Would the same technique undo the connector in my photo?
