My 205 block survived 441bhp as did the Grp A head gasket - i really wanted to continue on the 205 short motor as i only put 3k since a full rebuild but it's not worth risking any more with a GT turbo.
If you go for 450 then i would if your short motor is good

There's many 500+ on 205 bottom ends, depends how well built it is and what parts are used, a "group a" HG will take 450 no bother, and has the added advantage of sealing better than any metal gasket with imperfect surfaces.

Mine's running approx 410-420bhp and I'm still on orginal 205 just rebuilt using quality parts. I know it not quite the 450 bhp your after but I don't exactly drive like miss daisy and I had no issues with reliability.
