As above, how much, who and are you happy with it?

Was speaking to Bailey Morris in Cambridge and they sound like sound guys, but they need a prop to copy to ensure they match it perfectly.

Trouble is after 10 years in the garage I don't want to remove my old one and render it out of use as I am loving driving it again, so wasn'ty going to bother with a recon one!

I got mine from Clive Cox at Bailey Morris

Very good quality and helpfull too

I went for a heavy duty prop with bigger tube diameter and a rubber doughnut to absort shock transfer from the transmission to the diff

Hi Dude,

I spoke to a chap called Stuart who was really helpful - quoted me about for a stiffer tube? lightened up and top quality joiunts too, about 300 quid or so. Does that sound about right?

I wish he knew the exact dimensions to make me one up for me to collect!!

I bought mine a few years ago and it was cheaper

I went for lightened joints, balanced, custom length, 2.5 inch tube with BMW doughnut

Your best taking off your old prop and sending it too them to copy to make sure it fits correctly

That's right, they offered me the same choices.

Not sure I need the donut, but a good idea!

Bailey Morris are very good, local company to me and have no issues with them whatsoever, unlike Reco Prop who supplied me a right load of crap that ended up being a expensive door stop.

Tell me more man. I had called them and was put off by the boke on the phone - he made me feel like I was an inconvenience!

They may have been around the longest, but they have a lot to learn on the customer service front!

Prop has to be cock on right?! Otherwise it gets messy! Seen one go years ago at the pod, shocking...

My dad had one made for his xr4i(4L V8), first time he gave it a bit of grief the prop tube twisted like a soft chew and snapped clean in two, had it not been for the bar supporting the exhaust it would possibly have dug in the ground and launched the car in the air, like my mates 3L capri when the joint broke, it was so funny, no one hurt thank god.
His was made by a company no longer in existence, called powertec brookes.

Fostek do Props as well as Axles...........speak to Tom or John

They made me a single piece Prop for my MKII Escort running a Cossie (T5) for Ł160 delivered........so that give you some idea of cost for the Sierra.

Bit off topic but anyone remember the Touring Cars in the late 80s when that happened to one of the Sierra Cosworths running at the front - remember it on TV - spectacular!
