1mm over size on a 205 block is more what I'd worry about when looking for more power, we know how temprimental they can be!

Do you reckon I should leave it then? Would 1mm really make it a lot more temperamental?

Its luck of the draw!

How far can you go on a 205 block oversized to 0.5mm or 1mm.

my gt35 spins up no problems and the car picks up better than any t34 car so a gt30 can only be better so with standard compression like mine a gt30 would be the best mod you can do.....

dont even bother with a t38 as theres not alot in the price difference.

Don't bother with a T38, go straight to GT30. As said though, maybe pushing things if you did, given the +1mm on a 205 block

i have to say i had a tt t38 on mine and was awsome.. i thought next step gt3076 and to be honest wish i had kept the t38.. for the extra little performance even though its been mapped properly this time where as before just a chip my money would have been better spent elsewhere on mods.. but guess if i was going from t34 id go gt30 too..
although ill see if a std exhaust cam and remap on autronics makes it a bit nicer soon..

GT30/71 gets my vote every time, coupled with some decent mods some have made 500 horsies

Your gt35 comes on boost as good as a t34? You must have been in an appalling t34 engine

i was in dannys black escos when i had it and it was nms mapped and it was quick.... had low compression and my car goes better than that with a t34.63

but my cossie has
gt35/ external waste gate screamer ect reyland manifold
autronic sm4
long studded 200 block
forged pistons ( pocketed standard compression)
custom spec cams and head work done by grace engines
83lbs
swedish inlet
and so on

and it just picks up and goes with no problems, it makes full boost around 3700ish rpm and holds to 7500rpm 2.2bar

Fair enough, I do know that a gt35 engine wouldn't be anywhere near one of our t34 engines for response that must have been horrid to drive!

dont get me wrong it was a nice car but i love the kick that my car has, and when i was going to see it and was told it had a gt35 i thought its going to be a lag monster but its extremely driverable and realy responsive.

after buying it i broke the restrictor that goes to the external waste gate and the top boost pipe on the turbo side was badly split and on the rollers with both them problems it made 414bhp and 416lbs @ 1.5bar and its mapped for 2.2bar and that was with a standard 4x4 plenum and its now got a r&b swedish fitted, and its unreal with out the swedish at 2.2bar
