How do you measure a head to see if its had skims before, what should it be and when do you call it a day.

I can't remember the exact figure, think it's 139.6mm ?, but seen many used for years under this, a lot depends on how they are used, as in power output(heat), if skimmed too low the seats of the exhaust valves can fall out, to get around this you can have DRY fuel inserts(LPG) fitted and stitched in place, they won't wear in a million years.

Where is the measurement taken from i.e. between which two points.
