P100 - Changing 2.8 to BOA Cozzie
Hi,
I've got a diirty P100 pick up which was running XR4i runnning gear...
That broke and I stuck a Capri 2.8i into it...
Then the Fuel system broke so I' converted it to carb a few weeks ago.
Turns out that engine's a turd, so I've just bought a '97 Scorpio Cosworth with a sweet engine to transplant into the P100.
Does anyone know this '5 wire trick' I've heard of to negate swapping the entire loom?
Also, will the manual Type 9 in my van (XR4i) fit onto the BOA as I can't be having an auto box!
Also, any other things I might need to take out of the Scorpio?
ie Rad, ECU etc?

You will need the entire engine loom,ecu and edis 6 you should be able to remove it without cutting any wires (except ABS which you dont need) the loom comes out as a separate loom from the rest of the car. If the type 9 is a 2.8 box it will fit so will the flywheel,clutch and engine mounts. Rad you should be able to use the one you have as the hoses are the right way round if i remember correctly.
You will need to mod the down pipes from the BOA to fit and yes you will most deffo need the lambda sensors
