Default Where to route bonnet release cable on 3dr?

Anyone know whereabouts it should go through the bulkhead? I'm thinking it should go through the same rubber grommet as the lighting loom and the boost gauge hose, anyone know if that's right? I'd assume that a saff would be the same aswell.

NO, it goes through it's own dedicated grommet, directly in line with the brake pedal, if you want pm me your email and I'll take some piccies and send them to you.
The major problem with this grommet is it is directly under one of the water exits on the firewall, so water drips onto the bonnet release cable, as the cable moves a bit it eventually after years rubs through the grommet leaving a tiny gap, water then trickles along this gap on the cable and drops down onto the floor area on the drivers side, so they rot nicely as well.

Thanks for the reply, when u say in line with brake pedal do you mean vertically or horizontally? I shud be able to see it without a pic if I know what direction it's in-line with it. Do you have any idea what goes through the grommet with the boost hose and lighting loom? It's got 3 holes in the grommet which you can see are how ford made the grommet not just poked through with a screwdriver or anything but I just can't remember what else is meant to go through it.

Hmmm that's got me a bit confused now then, the bonnet cable has a rubber grommet over it which looks like it should fit into a seperate hole in the bulkhead like tabetha says but if that's the case then I really don't know wot the 3rd hole in the 3way grommet would be for unless a 3dr should only have a two holed grommet and somebody has replaced the original grommet with a saff one at some point?

Interesting - looks like mine was routed wrongly. I'll have to see if I've got a spare hole.

I am pretty sure the piccie in beefys pics is the throttle cable not the bonnet pull.

I think your probably right tabetha as the pedal box is still in the car but cant see a bonnet pull hanging anywhere inside the car. Ive put it out through the 3 holed rubber grommet as i looked at my mates 4x4 saff 2nite and thats where his goes through, also i couldnt see anywhere else where it could go and couldnt think what else should go through the spare hole in the grommet.
Do you have any idea where the ABS loom should be routed under the bonnet? Wanted to try and get it in place before i fit my rad and intercooler in case it needs to go behind it. It comes out the bulkhead on the passenger side and somehow runs across to the brake fluid resevoir on the drivers side, it seems too long to go straight across the bulkhead but too short to go up the passenger chassis leg, across the front crossmember and back down the drivers chassis leg.
