I personally would go with AVO, but would also if you like a comfy ride consider KONI adjusties with chassis dynamics std ride height springs with koni set on stiffest setting, a very good combo.
I would assume however with the beam you have you might want the adjustability(height) of the coilys, that's what gets my vote. If you can though try and get a ride in different cossie with different set ups, so at least you know exactly what you're getting before hand. tabetha |

Yeah the main reason is height, because of the beam but ive been told they make the car handle much better aswell? Not too clued up on them at all lol, ive got koni on atm, plan is to sell them to my dad, assuming they fit xr4x4 which they should, then put the money towards coilovers. If i went with avo, is there different spring rates i can choose? if so which is better, and where is the best place to buy them, looked on reyland, matt lewis and r&b cant seem to find them. Thanks for the help btw.

Found a set on matt lewis, £690 for avo ones, with these springs Uses race spec 2.25" I/d coil springs, are they the only option for springs or is there better ones to get?
Anyone know anywhere cheaper? |

AVO offer 1 free spring swap if you don't like the rate.
I use 300lb 9" front and 200lb 12" rear springs, I find the rears a touch soft so going to try 225lb in the summer, that's a condition where the big yellow smiley things comes out and warms us all up, just in case anyone has forgotten!! tabetha Last edited by tabetha; 11-02-2010 at 08:43 PM. |

i have gaz ones on my rwd and ive had no problems with them at all mine is heavily modded and i have road leagal slicks on the back so togther i get really good traction it did scwhat alot and rub the rear tyres as their a 45s but with the coil overs i can set them hard so it dosent do it any more but as an every day road car the ride is shit it picks up all the bumps but i dont use the car much so i can live with it!
