Default Drop Bracket Fitting Guide

My brother and i fitted my drop bracket today, here is a photo guide of how we done it as we couldn't find anything to help us so we thought it might be of use to others.

First off you have to cut this lug off the block so the bracket fits

Its best if you cut the whole lug off flush as we had to remove some more before the bracket would fit flush

When you bolt the bracket too the block you will need to use shorter bolts for the bottom 2 bolts

When you bolt the alternator bracket too the drop bracket make sure the bolts don't come out the otherside of the drop bracket. The alternator bracket only bolts on with 3 bolts now not 4.

And a picture of it fitted

I hope this helps somebody out

Steve

The orientation of the bracket was the hard part lol

At least the pic showing it bolted to the block makes it easy for everyone else.

We fitted a T38 and it really did need it to give a decent amount of clearance between housing and alternator so i would imagine the answer is yes

Great and very very helpful. Only extra comment would be that if it is an ally one watch out not to overtighten the threads or they will strip. Also watch out for them vibrating loose - even the original RS500 steel ones did when new and many have spring washer fitted on to stop it happenin
