Default Lumenition Air fuel ratio meter

Ive just bought a Lumenition Air fuel ratio meter and wondered if you can use these meters to set up the base mixture ? Its the 19 LED version .

I doubt it. These use usually narrow-band oxygen sensors.
I use a wideband unit, something like this: http://www.plxdevices.com/wideband.html

The reason im asking is that when its idling its 2 yellow leds above Lambda 1 setting and goes to the 1st green light when boosting which means it running rich but not getting to the max power mark at 3 green leds so was going to turn the co screw clockwise a bit to richen it up a bit but didnt want to upset the idle co setting . Im new to all this tuning malarkey LOL .

i wouldnt adjust anything using a narrow band mate

The overall fuel graph is fixed by the chip so affecting one end of the scale will affect the other.
So long as it's a decent chip and set to the CO advised by the maker/supplier I wouldn't take any notice of what the gauge says, narrow band are very accurate but only over a very short range.
