[QUOTE=kosienutter;5830205]Got my Superior courior service (Richie) lol to deliver my T5 and what I can only describe the mintest front bumper I have seen in a long time.
Just getting quotes for it to be sprayed up along with the rear one too which is looking a little faded.

The ebony black bumper i bought has a real difference between the the lights and the bumper

Hope yours fits better

James good call never thought of trying the adjusters

Just a little update.
She failed on the rear brake pipes being extremely corroded, Another cV boot gone at the front, o/s ball joint boot gone and excess play, a tiny bit of rust, a bad earth on my rear lights. And the o/s/r calliper is fooked beyond repair. Should get it back today hopefully if not Monday.

What a past few months I have had with the old girl.
I have had for the past 6 months my alarm going off all the time randomly and constantly blowing the fuse for my stereo, interior lights and wing mirrors.
I ripped the dash out to check it wasnt my wiring.
And luckily it wasnt but I was Effing fuming that I literally ripped it out for nothing, but gave me an excuse to finally do a neat proper job and use individual relays for each of my gauges, SECS monitor, boost gauge and AFR meter. Leaving my stereo loom completely standard at long last. Now running directly from my battery for a perfect voltage instead of straining the stereo loom.

Anyway here was the culprit. This was found by the Auto electrician I called out after I gave up trying to find the problem. Unfortunatlly I completely forgot that the car had a rear interior light Must have happened when the interior was retrimmed and slowly over the years eaten away the wire sheathing.

I also got round to getting my new bumper on after the old one completely foobared.

Mmmm shiney
Not so shiney lol.

My front prop has finally got changed lol as its UJ joint was on its last legs. played Russian roulette with it for too long
Thanks Andy for the store's supply and Richie for the use of his drive and help again.
http://s243.photobucket.com/albums/f...t=4d01977c.mp4
Nearly couldnt fit it though as it was from a 1991 Saph
For reference the bolts for it are Ł10 each from Ford, but got the lot for Ł7 from ebay (new old stock) happy days.

My starter motor's clutch was totally fooked. Ł85 later it is all together. Thanks for lending me yours Paul

And re-wired my senders for my Race-tech gauges. Done the same way as MSD do with Adhesive heat shrink. Its brilliant stuff. I fancy doing my own engine loom now

And finally got the rest of the Samco hoses for the car as the one that goes over the exhaust manifold blew literally as I pulled up to work one morning.

The long hose going behind the pulley to the water pump was a complete nightmare even when taking of the turbo cooler.

I have also for now (maybe) taken off the turbo cooler fans as they got in the way whilst trying to remove the cooler itself.
Plans are to go to RS Combe. My favorite show of the year.
Then get the cambelt changed as even though the one on the car is only 20k old looks a little tired.
And also find out why this sender on the radiator hose
to my Race-tech water temp gauge is only seeing 45 degreesC even though I have made doubly sure there are no air pocket/leaks and the thermostat is working correctly.
Any ideas guys ?????????? It's a single spade connection to the gauge. Do I need to put maybe a piggy back spade crimp on it so one wire goes to the gauge and one to ground???????

cheeRS all See some of you next Friday/Saturday

I know and I am so tempted to have that loom of you mate, really I am but, you know why I can't.
Could I borrow it maybe though as I am pondering/thinking of making my own. (V slow time, to keep budget down).
Got into my wiring now

Found a couple of possiblities why the sender isnt working properly.

:1 It could be that it needs an earth.
:2 Been hunting/looking into the sender on google and found out that the senders that Demon Tweeks send out with the gauges only work with gauges built after 2011. My gauges where in my old xr3i from 2006, so that could solve the problem. Bearing in mind I broke my old sender and got the current one last year. Demon Tweeks dont stock the old type senders but through another forum Burton Power have some gathering dust on their shelves, so I'll be ringing them ASAP.

Weird though the oil temp sender and Gauge are the same and work perfecty ????????? Which makes me go down the lines of an earth problem on the water sender, considering the oil temp gauge is technically stealing the engines earth via the oil filter arm. Am I right on that front?????

Hi guys.
At last I have wired up my AFR gauge lambda up after finding the wiring diagram.
Again MSD style loom built.
The connectors I used were to enable easy removal when taking the down pipe off.

The kit + boots

Clips on and rubber seals on

Wires protected up a bit.

Boot on

Wires in place.

All together

And connected to other end to the gauge

Took her for a drive and shes running on idle across the yellow leds and when cruising or foot down on the max power led. Running rich I guess so a tune up is on the cards one day.

Getting to like this wiring lark

Got round to changing the cambelt oil change and PAS fluid change.
The pulley's 3 holes were mullered and it looked quiet surface rusty but it came off a piece of p**s.

Had to remove the rad and cooler. Rad and turbo cooler after 8 years old still mint with no vain blockages .

3 holes buggered lol

Slackening off It was a tw*t to loosen its nut.

Thanks to this bad boy came of a dream.

Back in good nick.

Pulleys in good nick.

Gave the cranks sensor a good wipe after its coating of oil

Nice new belt on and new tensioner.

Big thanks to Richie (KaCosworth) for doing this and helping out with the fluid changes aswell and finding I somehow got starter motor wires wedged behind my oil filter lol And Paul for the pulley puller

Just need to check underneath and touch up areas and sort a little abs fault for her MOT.

Well after my car past its MOT I gave her a clean and sorted out the O/S rear inner arch after doing the N/S at the weekend.
The liners given a qood clean.

Sprayed over and stone chipped.
.
Tonnes of waxoil.

And the arch liner in place and waxoiled. Obviously the same on the other side

Plus a bit of pic whoring lol

And editing

Have been wondering lately that one side might be an xr4x4 front hub. I think its the left one judging by the caster readout.

Any way this morning I looked through my cars S/H and got reminded that a tca was changed 2011 due to a knackered ball joint. The garage however put a shite bush on instead of going 'Oh thats a poly bush on the old one, lets put that on the new tca'.
Anyway whilst seeing Richie he noticed the O/S front wheel bending back when I pulled up outside his house. So he gives me a spare poly bush he had. And that was that.
So after yesterday and taking the below pics they are different poly bushs I think 1 due to yesterdays read out and 2 what looks to me different circumferences.
Also looking at all the cars previous allingments prior to that tca change the garage done, the average caster on the left was 4.250 and the right 4.275. So I think now the O/S is the wrong one.

Gonna order some new ones so its equal again (Hopefully lol )

Thanks again to all that helped get her ready for her MOT. Andy, top welding again and Richie for putting me in the right direction instead of my silly ideas

Had great weekend at Central. Heres my car turned into a Taxi
Found the kit on eBay for Ł40 quid from a guy who just moved and found the kit in the attic.
Was from a laguna.

Got the heat gun out and got the old stickers off.

And cleaned it up with WD40.

New labels.

I typed up my cars details, made some false county bits over the old ones and prit sticked them on the original licence, them scanned it and printed it off to make the stuck on bits less obvious.

Tested the light worked with the 'For Hire' trigger wire on the meter of my computer 12v output before I rivetted the sign back up and fix it.

Then fitted it all up on the camping night before the show.

Didn't get a single phone call

Our camp.

Stir fry was too big for my plastic plate

Thanks for all the comments on other threads and bookface guys

And our Devon stand.

Richies Ka was in the middle for a bit till his runs up the strip.
