cheeRS scotty.
Well people next on the cards I think, is more wiring but only stereo wise. I will be fitting the 6/9's I won at the Cornwall RS show raffle a couple of weeks ago.
The amount of Sigh's I heard when I picked them of the raffle table was brilliant. Wanted to shout HA HA they are mine now. lol
And take the front seats/ centre handbrake surround out and carpet to pull out all the old stereo wiring inc 4 massive ancient mono leads that are under there somewhere as I think one of the previous owners was runnng a lot of speakers via amps at one point. Only need the one for my subwoofers amp. Plus a component splitter will be removed.
Hard not fixing cossie's when they work. I am trying to think of things to do to it all the time and all I can think of is doing more/neaten up the wiring so it is even better lol.

Well I pulled out the interior to get rid of a tescos bag full of old shite wiring. I have neatened it all up Inc behind the dash. Thing is the sound deadening and other stuff that is under the carpet in the front end was damp as fook. Anyways did a bit of wire brushing here and there and hammering and have found a few holes. Not a happy chap but the guys from my club said it can be fixed no problem so I am starting to get rid of all the rust I can before it gets welded up and sealed. Glad I found it before the MOT in feb next year so plenty if time. Thing is I will have to do a temporary fix as I want to do silverstone's ford fair before the car will be off the road for a week or so welding painting and wax oiling the repairs.

Well today whilst sort of doing prep work on the cars slight rust problem I have taken the distributor cap off and it was slightly covered in oil and the odd tiny bit of oilly road grit and damp. Gave it a good boodgy out and took the cps out too. The cps was absolutely covered in oilly grim. about 3 to 4 mm of the shite. Cranked the car over once I cleaned them both and its stared so much easier. Sweeeeet

Big thanks to Andy
Well after a slight issue at first with venue access I managed to find a venue for the welding of the Saph. And today Andy has done the left hand side, and boy has he done a fantastic job. Hats of to you Andy and many thanks again, beers coming your way at fordfair lol.

Heres a few phot's of the progress so far. Got the tiger sealant through the post today to, so once the primer has dried over night I shall be applying it, paint, stone chip it all and wax oil it and do a temporary fix on the other side just till fordfair is out the way and then get the other side done once it is decided what to do to it.

Now I have to put the interior in Again. Takes 2 hours top put back in right but only half hour to take out. Why lol.

lol paul.
Well yesterday I tiger sealed the whole lot up and let it set over night and today i have painted it all inside and outside. Nearly there drying wise for a second layer inside and stone chip paint on the outside, then a nice dollop of waxoyl, then I can put it all back together again till the right hand side gets done. Pics to follow if the light holds.

Little update.
Richie dropped round 2 3rd's of his old magnex system to me as he is having another boss welded in on he down pipe section for me to run my cars closed loop and a seperate one afr sensor for my afr gauge. Due to my mongoose srapping awqwaudly every time i go onto my drive or over a sleeping poileman. I has so far polished up the back box section and it has come up a right treat. thanks again Richie and thanks for the cv boots and bits as once Again people I think my cossie is about to eat another CV joint up even though I have collins engine mounts. I will do the rest maybe tomorrow if I have time after giving the car a good clean

Fitted new cv ends to the drive shaft, which is A ok. the inner cv was fine but put a better one on and the outer one did feel too stiff and a little clunky for my liking. all new boots on and greased up to the hilts. happy days

Heres a few pics from Ford Sports South West's Regional Show On Sunday.

+ Still got the problem I had before the CV Joint Change. Think it is the front diff so I am checking it tomorrow to see if any oil is in it as I think when at low speeds the oil is not circulating enough but at speed it is just about spreading the oil around the main cog as it were.
I'll put a few more on shortly too. Took way to many again. Said to myself I will cut down on photo taking @ shows

Got my new front brake discs. Decided to go for just grooved ones this time. my current EBC ones have warped a little after 4 years of occasional abuse. I heard stories about the dimple bits causing them to warp sometime too? These ones Ł50 inc free p&p, not bad hey?

I am spraying them with heat proof silver paint so that they dont rust in the usual exposed areas of a disc, lightly mind lol. So hopefully will look new ou the box all the time if you know what I mean.
All taped up.

cheers paul. could be a painter any day lol. just gonna do one more layer then i will be happy with it. Going to take my oil breather/expansion tank out and do that next. gonna put a think bottle or something in its place temporarily to catch the oil if i ever get to the stage that it needs to breath oil out. never ever filled it up so far which is a good thing.
