Well update.. decided to put the car back to a rally car and in sainz colour scheme, I have the bits and just purchased a 3dr replica for the bits i don't have. a friend is going to do all off the graphics for me should be quite nice when it is finished.. any body got any of the wheels, or might just run it on the 9x17 race dynamic wheels I have. will post some pics on my progress..
The brand is BRAID, and it is an Spanish company. They still manufacture those wheels.

Interesting to read all your post about wars motorsport as it was my dad and uncle Sean and adrian...if any1 needs any info about any of the cars let me know..also any pictures that any of you have let me know too it would be good to see them...Regards

Hi,
I now own this car and have had it shipped down under.
I have looked at the scrutineer stickers and have made out competior no.17 on one of them, along with a 1988 advertising permit. if this was for the 88 RAC rally it would make it Mark Lovells car.
Is this a possible line of investigation or does someone know where Lovells car is?

ady used to navvy for jj and my mates built with lyndsey shaw a 4x4 cos for the rac rally,my mate said jj paid up 75 grand in cash for the car and had never seen so much money 
. i used to spend loads of my wages with the farrells Ian 
my mates used to repair jj's stuff,wars stuff,red's stuff,lyndseys stuff,rob barry's stuff too and serviced for barry mcguigan and yeah they repaired his fook ups.
god knows why wars gave it all up.

i have seen that car also.i worked for rob barry for about 20 yrs,i was there with the likes of rob,jj,alan whittaker,jim brindle.i remember when rob launched alsecure motorsport and we had barry mcguigan in a vauxhall nova with alan whittaker co driver on the 1992 lombard rally.rob barry had 2 group a cossies and 2 group n s.he also had one of the first escort cossies which he was asked to exhibit at the same 92 rally.the amount of time spent at mike taylor developments,sue collins performance engineering,northwest motorsport etc.happy days.
