Default Just been a muppet and dropped one of my pistons.

Silly mistake. Arrived today. went to put them in the garage and one fell of the shelf.
It has this little mark on it now, will it be ok? Could it be repaired? Is this now scrap?

Dam it.

Thanks
Lee

As said it really depends how bad it is as the skirt might now catch the bore.

If it was me i would say it arrived like this and delete this thread!

Doubt if that little ding has distorted anything - as suggested, get any burrs removed (if any) and it will be fine... just be careful with them when you take them

Stop worrying, just use a bit of emery to take off sharp edges, it's nothing, or bring down and I'll spin it in the lathe for you if that fussed, personally a bit of emery for me, then a good wash.

As above, just rub it down until you no longer feel a ridge on your fingernail.

If you are still worried just get a thin piece of wood about 1 " wide and glue a bit of emery to it then use as a flat board for taking out mark.

All that matters is it doesnt stick OUT, it doesnt matter at all if there is a little dent in.

So as Tabby says just dress it back, problem solved.

And dont be such a clumsy twat next time
