help!battery warning light

Default help!battery warning light

i have just changed my battery and alternator.wonder why is the warning light is on?car watch/date and month display isnt working as well..is there not enuff power or what? any help appreciated

Is the battery fully charged? All connections OK? Earthing on the engine etc.??

assume its a saff?

make sure you check the connections to the back...i had no end of problems with mine; also worth checking the elecrtical component on the back of the alternator; held in with 2 10mm

is the alternator battery brand new? not wanting to make you look stupid but have you got enough tension on the alternator belts

check you've got good earths

what voltage have you got accross the battery while engine running? you should have 13.5 to 14v, also check the charge link wire on the alternator and to the back of clocks....

when you turn ignition on do you see the battery light?

battery fooking died last night..
when ignition was turned on everything was fine until a few minutes of driving..i suspect the alterantor isnt charging the battery..battry was brand new.
got a pic of the alternator wiring..is it correct? any clue people

Wiring looks right to me - have the test done as described if you can - will save a lot of wondering what if??
