Default Replacing the cassette holder in the dash

Hi there.
Sorry if I´m posting this in the wrong forum, I´m a newbie on Passionford, and furthermore I´m Danish so my english is probably quite bad too. But I really need a little help.

I have a wonderful Sierra GT 1992, and wanting to upgrade the stereo a little, my eyes fell on a combi player on Ebay. It has a 7" screen(touch) that slides out from the unit when you turn it on.
The standard radio is mounted low and is placed fairly deep in the dash, so I am a little worried, that the 7" screen won´t fit once opened. (hope you understand)
I thought about moving the unit up where the cassette holder and the clock is, but my questions are: Is it possible to find a readymade holder to go instead of the clock and cassette holder? Does anyone have pictures showing how they have done it?

Thanks in advance, hope you´ll find a little time to help me.

Sorry again for the bad english. We danes are probably better at drawing "funny" cartoons at the moment.

Sounds really great. So there´s enough room at the back to install the stereo.
I haven´t pulled it all apart yet and checked.

What material did you use? Aluminium or some kind of wood?

you need to blank off the heater vent otherwise it gets way too hot

everything else though is just fine as there is plenty of space behind for all the whiry bits to go AND you can remove the clock bit to gain more asscess

the only problems you will face are that you need to get the instrument cluster out if you want to remove the surround and there is a clip on the vent wide that will break if you pull it off so you need to get behind it with a small screwdriver and unscrew it

when it's in bits you'll know what i'm talking about
