Depends on BUDGET as well.
You could always get brackets made to use 325mm FRS discs with your calipers, which will give you a sizeable step up in performance due to leverage.

I would not touch Tarox, AP or Brembo are the way to go. Here's my number 0121 458 6010 call me if you are interested in a brake kit.. Ł1300 + vat 330 4 pots or Ł1400 plus vat 362mm 6 pots Both use AP discs and calipers.

Although the FRS Brembo callipers are pretty good, the FRS one piece discs are not really up to hard use, as they are unable to adequately dissipate the heat from a 1250kg car. Even the Focus warps it's discs on track, so a reasonably powered Sierra would do the same.

Obviously if the car wasn't going to be used on track, then this wouldn't be an issue, but them again, the standard items on a 2wd are good enough for fast road use if overhauled and braided hoses, good fluid and pads used, so you don't even need to go to the expense of that.

If you were going to use the FRS set up, then you would want the AP two piece brakes like Christian has put on his Escort RS Turbo - but then it's not a cheap option any more.

Brakes are a tricky thing to get right - doing it half way usually ends up with having to pay out twice (I found out the hard way on my own Sapphire all those years ago ), so always best to save up a little more and get the ones that will do the job in hand.

As long as the disc is of sufficient quality and that you use suitable pads .
