There are 4 drain tubes on the Saff. The front ones are normally okay, so I would go to the boot and behind each trim panel is a drainage point which runs through the air vent on the pre 1991 models and into a collector on the post 1991 models.
Chances are this is crapped up where it leaves the car in the boot. Water then backs up the pipe and collects in the sunroof aperture, draining into the interior light when the level gets high enough.
Be thankful it is blocked, I know many people who have had the drains come loose and pour water into the boot when it rains.

Pop into your local cheapy shop and buy some CURTAIN ROD, the flexible sort, as this makes an ace push through if any are blocked, I use the stuff also to put wires etc through panels.
DON'T push too hard or the pipe could be pushed off the drain hole in the roof.

OMG this is taking the piss. Go out at lunchtime today, remove towel from over handbrake etc. Then realise the roof is all wet, the seatbelt wet, the water has run down the side beam next to the driver seat, into the seatbelt enclosure, FFS!
