Yeah if done to a good standard....had mine done in red then diamond cut back. Had the powder coating done with a huge job lot of stuff so it basicaly cost me nothing then the diamond cutting was £30....so worked out alot cheaper than what the traders on here are asking.

If you wanted red(for example) pop along to your local fire extinguisher makers, and ask them if they can do the cover next time they coat, will be a lot cheaper, especially if you know someone there.
We used to do all sorts, lots of motorbike frames, but used loads of different colours.
Otherwise try to find someone local that powder coats their own stuff, my guv and I used to charge £30 for a m/bike frame, that is chemically cleaned, or blasted and powdered.

Depends what look your going for.....some people wet and dry the raise area back after being painted then polish it up with a set of mops etc but I wanted the machined back look as I find it easier to maintain. Sorry you cant really see the effect in this pic...but you get the idea of what a powder coated and diamond cut cover looks like at least?

I use a local place that do security doors. So might be worth trying somewhere like that too.
