Removing the wastegate from a T3. Tips?
Edited. Can anybody share their method for getting some of the more difficult nuts off the turbo/exhaust manifold?
Quick question. I have got the three large nuts off the back of the tubo housing and seperated the large exhaust pipe.
I'm struggling to get the four 17mm nuts off the other exhaust connection. They are very tight, I can't get a socket onto the two of them nearest the brake fluid reservoir and the brake fluid reservoir prevents me from getting the spanner in the right place for serious leverage.
Is there a certain shape 17mm spanner that is ideal for the job? Do I need to remove the brake fluid reservoir?
I'm trying to get the back of the turbo housing off to send away so that I can get the wastegate shaft modified. And it's a difficult job!
Thanks,
Charlie
