I had the same vibration on my 2wd i also used the group n gearbox mount, I replaced it with a new standard item and all was fine. The group n is so solid and has hardly any flex compaired to the standard one.

my car has just developed the same problem, only since i fitted a quickshift, mine is a 1990 2wd which is pretty standard,it vibrates and grinds, the only thing i think it could be is that the propshaft isnt lined up correctly.im going to get it in the air and check it this week!

had to undo the propshaft bearing carrier to let the box drop enough to get access to the shifter, its the only thing i have done that could be causing the noise(hope so anyway)!
