Default Should I fit a turbo damper?

Am I right in thinking a turbo damper/brace supports the turbo from the valve cover, preventing vibration and flexing?

Should I fit one?

Can't see any reason not to, only arguments FOR fitting it. Like supporting the turbo and reducing the likelyhood of loosing exh studs/nuts or even cracking the exh manifold.

i think rip it apart maybe harsh mate but it can cause enough vibration and flex to crack it
