Never heard bad reports about the Compbrake kits, only good feedback. So like you i am considering buying a set this year as they are so much cheaper than the APs.

I would rather have the APs on the front only, than both the front and rear by compbrake

I would say that 'proven in motorsport'is a very subjective thing

at the very top levels of motorsport?
consistently winning?

that'll be AP or Brembo then

but I would say that I have them fitted to my car..

ps its for sale but if it hasn't sold by middle February I'll break it and you can buy my AP's second hand

I've had a number of AP kits fitted to my cosworths in the past, usually AP 6 pots, but my most recent has 330 AP 4 pots and there superb.

I had a set of comp-brake 4pots for my 2wd but never fit them,,, the quality just wasnt the same as the AP imo,,, and if i was doing alot of trackdays that you seem to do,, i'd rather pay that bit more to get AP's HTH Dave

I would have to say AP. For any advice on brakes i would call Mike Rainbird. He knows his stuff and his advice is good. Dont let the camp/gay voice put you off though

YOUR PAYING FOR THE NAME IMO !!!

just remember AP is owned by brembo and some of compbrake kits use brembo calipers

Rotors are not manufactured by AP but an outside company who probably supplies them all

NOT saying that AP's are not good cos they are but u can get good brakes at a lot lower cost

True but they certainly are not all made by the same company, most cheap discs are cheap for a reason ... A well know forum member has found that recently Brembo discs are my favourite ....

If i was taking my saff round tracks with the same amount of power as u Martin then i would have AP's
BUT i'm not and just wanted a good all round package at an affordable cost which would give me better braking performance

Also i'm not as rich as u lol

what about a set of brackets for 2wd calipers and bigger discs?they are 4 pots as standard and with bigger discs would surely make a good bit of differance!i wont be using my car for trackdays, only for some extra help on the road, spent a fortune on it the past few months and next i want a cheap upgrade for the brakes!how much is the compbrake kit front and rear and what does it include?i might be interested also.
