what alarm,toad or clifford?
i have a clifford g4,brand new in the box,i cant get anyone to fit it,all the wires are marked and it looks pretty easy.i tried a local sigma dealer and he wouldnt touch it,i tried a toad dealer and he gave me a good price for fitting an ai606.i dont really want the toad and i dont want to have to buy another alarm.i got a muppet from dundee who talked a good job to come and half fit the g4,he basically came, took my interior to bits, wired up a couple of wires and charged me £28 an hour for the pleasure, well fxxk me,im a corgi registered gas installer with a brand new van and the best of kit and i only charge £25 per hour.does anybody know of a reputable clifford installer(mobile would be good)in the tayside area that could fit it,or should i go for the toad as its a good alarm?cheers, lee

Hi mate try contacting clifford and they will give ya a list of approved installers in your area, alot of them are mobile too. Both alarms are good so ya may as well stick with the one ya have. Good luck

Ive got a cliford alarm on my cossie and there is a piece of paper holding both the batterys in the key fobs. The metal battery connectors have come away so with out the bits of paper the alarm wont arm or disarm. Then there is the main alarm ecu which the connector keeps coming out of so that again the alarm wont disarm. But apart from that is a good alarm. Its also got a turbo timer that works off the key fob.

thought that turbo timers invalidated the thatcham 1?
or that's what i was lead to believe anyway!
had the ai606 on a previous car an it was good plus it's upgradeable (if that's even a word!) so can add bits on to it to suit your needs
