Default flywheel mods... what works ?

Looking at my flywheel and scratching my head... thinking I modified a 2L non turbo motors flywheel shaving off weight from the flywheel and got a really nice responsivess improvement without much loss of low down grunt...

Given that I have a standard cossie flywheel and like a lot of people have a setup that should yield 300-400hp and planning to go to 550+ one day...
Using the car on road with odd track days. and entered in a local series....

What flywheel weights are recommended for fast road, race, rally, hillclimb ....

Do people shave the existing flywheel or go for something else ?
I know its easy to shave it off, a lot harder to put it back it back on

If you want the best just go billet, then you can have light weight and strength.
