Im looking at getting a set of proper carbon door cards made to suit 3 door and RS500s.

1) They are done in 'proper' carbon finish ie. dry carbon, vaccum bagged, high gloss finish
2) Seeming that the majority of the cost will be making the 'plug' or mould, and then the cards made themselves the price based on 5 orders would be around 800 GBP MAX. You will have to add cost for shipping to the UK (which I can work out later)

Im doing this quite simply as an enthusist AND not to obtain any monetary gain for this initial run.

I have currently 3 orders for a set of these and the cost will lessen with more orders (if ordered at the same time)

OK, went out to see the guy who does the carbon door trims. I've decided to only do an initial run of front door cards at this moment as the Americans with the XR4Ti Sierras cant fit the rear trims and only the fronts suit.

The detail of the pocket will be removed to give a smoother finish.

If I can get 5 orders (2 already confirmed) the price for the fronts will be £410. *price edit* I can work out delivery by sending 3 sets to one person and then they can send to the respective buyers. This way we can save about 50% of postage charges.

Looking around his workshop was pretty awesome. He highly sought after and he is a perfectionist.

Sooo.. any takers?

Oh and I forgot to add, he looked at the pics of Fastmaul's (first pics) door cards and picked out exactly where it would be improved. ie, the carbon weave will be much much straighter, no cloudiness in the clear coat and the fit will be pretty much perfect.

Saff door cards can be done, but like this, you will need to get at least 5 confirmed buyers ready to pay 50% upfront.

Final price is 800 GBP for a set of front and rear door cards. I dont expect there will be a huge rush on these, but just putting it out for any interested parties who have a carbon fetish.

The door pocket will be deleted to give a smoother finish and rear ash tray will not be present.

Order will be placed at the end of this month (Jan) and you will not be able to purchase these exact cards at a cheaper price unless you order a set of 3 or more.

Is there a lot more work in the dry carbon,also how do they fit to the doors,mine were a pig to fit,used screws in the end,but it,s only a track car ,

yeah, the fit will be 100% Im told. The orginal door vinyl will be taken off and a mold will be taken of my cards.

Aparently the use of dry carbon guarentees the fibres can be layed more symetrically and to be made perfectly.

The guy is a perfectionist and specialises in small runs for road, race cars as well as racing boats.

the price of 800 GBP is for a set of four cards.

we can do a set of front cards at the same time and the price is 425 GBP.

OK, there's only a few more days left for this particular group buy.

In the future, it will only be economical to get a purchase of 3 sets at a time, so the next run may take a while (if ever).

Old post but haven't been looking through here in a while. Love Vic's weave and how much cleaner they look but I actually like the shape of mine better lol.
