Default Bd16 cams

Just bought a set of kent bd16 cams. What numbers should be stamped on them. How can you tell the difference between inlet/outlet.
I havnt measured them but the seem to have less lift than the standard ones?

one cam will have a groove inbetween the lobs and one will be solid (cant remember which is which )

if theyre bd16`s then they should have bd16 stamped on the ends of both cams

They have KCW2 stamped on the ends.

Could they be reground from the originals? How does regrinding old cams work?...do you have to use longer lifters?

here is the list from kent cams , but you do not have bd16 cams - lift and duration is differnt ,
bd16-
Race 3500-8500 lift= 10.13 duration 265 Deg phaseing 28/57 60/25

kcw2
Sports ' R ' 2000-7000 lift=8.94 duration 263 Deg phaseing 16/67 62/21

kcw4 is the closest to a bd 16 so you dont have what you wanted

your kcw2 is a very close match to a bd 14 , hope this helps

i think they have less lift because they have more duration or on some engine vice versa
