You should be able to hear the pump priming when ya turn ignition on, or get a mate to check if ya getting power to the pump while your cranking her over. It could be the relay if not working.
Check all the fuses and connections also maybe worth checking fuel cut off switch in the boot. good luck.

It is not good for pump!
If you put 1 or 2 liters to fuel tank its may be not enough, it need more...
Once I have the same problem, my pump after working whithout fuel did not start. I have checked all electrical fuel part - it was ok. Then I have put +12V to the pump from battery by separate cable and after 20-30seconds it begin to work(then I turn out that cable). I think my pump was obstructed.

where abouts the relay for the fuel pump and when you first turn ignition on i cant hear the pump i got missus to turn ignition on why i was under car near pump and all it did was a little twich so does it only start and work as your cranking also if it was fully working will it still always run when cranking.is it poss to take fuel pipe of fuel reg to see if fuel is coming through.the reason i think it is pump is that the car justed stop and when i tried to resart did nothing but turn over didnt even try and fire many thanks

if u hold it when someone turns the ignition on u should feel it pump (buzz)for a few seconds, under your spare wheel u will see a switch make sure it has not set itself off by pushing the button down

I had a similar problem with mine when i first bought it, the insulating on the phase sensor wiring inside the distributor had deteriorated, causing the 2 wires to touch each other and short.

Fitted a new phase sensor, it was fine, might not be that but its worth checking??
