Default Cossie aircon

Just curious.

I see pictures of cossie sapphs with different pipes for the airconditioning. Some have a pipe from the pump straight to the bulkhead near the inlet manifold and some have the pipes behind the airfilterbox then going to the bulkhead. Does this mean one or the other is done by the manufactury and the other was put in later as an option??

todo with the year of build I guess friend of mine has a 1990 around the airbox and mine is 1992 june and goes through the bulkhead both 4x4 .
