Looks shi*te to me. 54,000 miles and it's dropping to bits. He said he doen't know anything about them?
Why has he priced it at this price?
Why has he took a photo of the cracked dash if he doesn't know these cars?
Sorry 12k is even to high. Milage is the only good thing. Need a full restoration costing what it is priced at.
V poor keep looking. I would even approach an owner who's car is not for sale and offer them money.
ask yourself, good cars like this are sold before they are adverised.

That sounds quite rough overall. Poorly resprayed crash damage, lots of scraches, rust etc.
Foglight grilles missing. Upper and lower dash both fucked.
Why no proper interior pictures? What's that drivers bolster like?
53k car? Any MOTs to back this up?
£14,500? Hmm.

seems a bit of an overpriced shed, bad paint, cracked das suggesting its been left out in the sun.and who trades in an rs500?and who, without knowing nothing about them takes in an rs500,no garage that sells corsas and mondeos would tae in a 19 year old shabby sierra and ask £14500 for it,sounds fishy, but on the other hand try finding another 500 this cheap!

OK folks - it all checks out according to my bro. He's just back from viewing it for his nosy brother (me). Regular MOTs serving by a local firm and it looks way better in the flesh, especially the interior. It has the 8 yellow injector Brodie Brittain set up btw.
Very minor rust here and there - easily remedied as its black. Always garaged since 94 but taken out for the odd run and kept roadworthy. If you wanted a concours car then forget it... but if you wanted one to actually have fun in and enjoy it sounds about right to me.
Have more info if anyone wants it ) My brothers wife won't allow another car into the household so he's out of the loop

Have seen at least two in this condition sell easily mate, its the genuine aspect that's so difficult to get these days. This one's a kind of time warp with all as it should be. Plastics are easy to spruce up etc. too.
..and hey, I have fun in mine I can assure you. Its why I deffo didn't want a concours or precious one. Each to their own I guess eh?
They have supposedly had a couple of offers - but we'll see if thats true in a couple of days.

I very much doubt you'll find a concours 500 for £20-£24k CLICK HERE I would say this car is worth £30k with the mileage and condition.

My sapp has 40,502 miles 2 owners on it and valued at £8500 but realistically worth £7500.
3drs are worth concours (not modified)no more than 16k. There has been concourse 3-drs sell for less than this over the last few month.
rs500's are different. you will never see a 500 sell a penny less than 10k in ANY condition just because of what it is. I have never known a 500 sell for more than 23k and it was white very clean but not quite concourse but has potential this one has not. Black is the more popular colour and the overall condition of the pics indicates it has covered either more miles or it is genuine milage but used in all conditions and not very well looked after.
also I have never known anyone to buy a 500 to have fun in. Just my honest opinion. Sorry if I have offended anyone!

Compared to the cars in the links below i think it's priced right.
Pistonheads has had quite a few 500's on there lately:
23k £45000
58k £18000
37k £25000
37k £19995
52k £16500

tbh I thought it didn't look so good in the pics but my bro has been dealing in motors since he was 16 and knows his stuff. If he says its lookin good then I'm convinced. I have now spoken to 3 who have viewed it and at least one is running for the cash.
Must admit to being half tempted to go and get it myself... but then two cossies is already enough for my wife
Daz Barber - you saying mine aint a polished princess??? Shame on you mate, its only crappy underneath cos I only clean it once in a while. Look at the mess on this gearbox when I dropped it again!!!
Ha ha only teasing mate... remember this day though??
Now that was the first fun day I had - bearing in mind it only got completed at 10:30 the night before (minus rear spoiler etc of course)... n the door strip fell off... n I wrecked a driveshaft... n I need a 909 diff mount too. Fun Fun fun all the way
