Default 2wd baffled sump ?

Couple of questions with regards baffled sumps.

I intend on going drifting, and have heard about baffled sumps.... and the fact I would need one. So...

What are they, and who can make me one if I give them a sump ?

is it simply a case of some strips or 'obstacles' placed/fixed in the sump to restrict the flood of oil about the sump?

and would I need one on a 2wd cos that will be going drifting sideways lots

Not sure if you need one for drifting, but Mike at R&B motorsport can do one for you

This is my Big wing of Mike R, They dill holes into the wings which act as baffles. The next option is a Gated sump but i know they are not cheap.

Not fussed on price as im planning this for my next engine.

Whats the main reason for baffling though? the surge of oil on track days? Dont wonna ring up Mike and annoy him by asking questions

In short pretty much mate, to help keep the oil under the pick up during hard cornering.

The gated sump will stop the oil pump sucking fresh air on hard cornering the Big wing sump will only increase the oil capacity.
Fit gated first & then Big wing.
I have run a gated sump since going 500bhp but only required the Big wing when over 700bhp because so much oil was in the breather system & not in the sump on a Topspeed run.
