recently the diff on my 2wd has started to grumble a bit when its on over run? there is no wine or any noise wile it is under load, now i a gussing that this is a worn bearing? is it posible to replace just a bearing set or is it posible it could be something more serious?? if i went to a quaif diff would this solve the problem or would i still have the grumbeling on over run? if i fitted the quaif on its own ? thanks guys any help will be great

have you checked the prop bearing about half way down the car, 2 bolts holding it on, see if you have any play in it

ive been under the car today and give it a good wriddle but it dosent seem to have any play at all ?

you could have play in the diff, best to jack the back end of the car up and turn the shafts, including prop and see where the play is


if no play, then it'll be internal, so rebuild time
